At the project in Dunnington we were tasked with converting a series of existing single storey and two storey barns into one large family home. After a series of value engineering to get the most from the existing structures, work began on site in September 2021. Works included restoration of the current structure, including new roofs and floors with modern insulations and underfloor heating. New buildings were also introduced to create a link between the two storey buildings and a new bedroom wing to create three new ensuite bedrooms.
Externally a new ground source heating system with full array PV panels and battery storage was introduced to ensure the building is fully future proofed.
Landscaping works including new electric gates and Breedon gravel driveway and paths surrounding the house encouraging the new house to blend back into its original surroundings.
